Hiya From Connecticut
Hi there, i'm Eric "Leadfoot" from ct
own a 55 panel i plan to restore next year (first pic) ,drive daily a 67 chevy van (for sale) (2nd pic) building a 65 chevy van i chopped 4.75 inches (3rd pic) (spent this morning welding it) 4th pic 'm looking for info about the difference between a 47-53 GM panel trucks and 47-53 Chevy Suburban - also seeking the difference if any between 54-55 GM Panel trucks and 54-55 Chevy Suburban - now i thought the only difference was suburban had windows in the body and panels didn't, is there interior parts differences? like headliners? the reason i ask is i am a rep for a reproduction company and the listings for the above is not clear and like to have the correct info before offering the headliners for sale so thought i'd ask those who may know i'd like to add these panel parts that are available to our parts dept on my new site www.vaninmag.com (i also run the only Van magazine in the country) thanks for any input or info ! - Last edited by leadfoot-vanner; 10-08-2007 at 05:26 PM. |

Re: Hiya From Connecticut
thanks i hope to be sharing finished pics soon too lol
here is the last 2 chevy vans i built i also do ground up restorations and have a book of customers rides i've done but never any time for my own stuff, and trying to change that- the gold van is a 65 (someone was pretty bent at the previous owner.. yes it does say what ya think it does on the side of it when i bought it, it was sprayed on with undercoating, and then covered with a rattle can primer that just reacted and made it look worse, failed attempt by previous owner at covering it up) so i sanded off about 7 layers of paint and shaved a side door put a 6 banger bored .60 over in it with a TH350 3:36 posi rear and a power moon roof in it, it was a great van! (drove that one everyday for over 3 years, still going as a handyman van), the star spangled van is a 69 i saved from being crushed (RIP vandalized shortly after i built it by a punk neighborhood kid, i repaired a major dent in the pass side, primered it and sold it) gold van-before gold van after star spangled van before star spangled van after oh and i work on SCIONS sometimes too Last edited by leadfoot-vanner; 10-07-2007 at 06:32 PM. |
