too much loc tight

I think I used too much lock tight on a nut.
Is there a way to "dissolve" the stuff so I can turn the thing
My impact gun on 100psi won't budge it.

any ideas?

Re: too much loc tight

where's the nut at?? can you get a torch on it safely? I've had good success at applying heat to locked nuts/bolts.....

I agree. Heat it up and take another stab at it.

Re: too much loc tight

another vote for heat.. heat, tighten a bit then yank hard on the loosen phase.

Works every time..
