Heater problem
On the weekend i noticed that there was heat coming out the defroster vents even though the heater control slide was all the way to the left (off).
It wasn't doing this 2 weeks ago. What should I be checking? Could it be a linkage issue? or worse |

Re: Heater problem
I just replaced my heater control box with a new one from GMC Pauls, and put in new cables. My setup had heat comming out when the temp was all the way to the left too. In my case it required properly setting the cable length from the end of cable attach point (by rotating it like a screw along the metal cable sheath) until I had a length that fully closed the heater when the lever was full left.
HOWEVER, if yours used to work fine but now puts out heat . . . I'm clueless.
