Absolutely. You can do that with just a C-notch out back. But remember, those trucks are dumped. If you wanna ride at that height, you're gonna have to put in a little more work, but nothing you can't handle. I will get you a pic of my Blazer tomorrow and as low as you can go before running into trailing arm/frame interference.

My guess is yes, because, My frame/cab only is sitting with no rear coil springs in it at all... the rearend hits the frame. The trailing arms don't hit anywhere...
You would probably wanna C-notch to go as low as in above pictures. And also may have pinion angle issue...
I bet a member of the bagged crowd will jump in soon.

The trailing arms are not hitting the frame on this '71 I have (sorry about the bad pic). It does need to have the frame notched to have adequate suspension travel though. It is low enough that it drags on anything except flat ground.

if u look at my build thread i have a 1969 with stock style trailing arms they were build out of 2x3 rectangle tubing but were made the same as original, the truck has a huge notch but is laying frame on stock trailing arms, i know you probably dont want to cut that much but just dont think u have to 4 link a truck to get it low.

If you wanna go lower and the trailing arms are hitting the frame, use some blocks to gain more frame to arm clearance.

Well, my camera is dead, but I pulled some pics from Frizzle Fry's Tahoe build. This is as low as you can go with bags in the stock location on trailing arms. His notch could have been a little shorter if he weren't running the sway bar on top of the axle.

This is exactly what I am in the process of doing. I am taking an 8" step notch and cutting it down to about 6" so it will fit under the back seat. That will get you plenty low...

That's with 3" lowering blocks and no upper spring pad above the bags: bags mounted directly to the frame and arms.

I don't recommend 3" blocks unless you have at least 20" wheels. You can get away with smaller wheels (no less than 17") and 3" blocks if the shocks are relocated like mine (lower shock mount is normally the lowest point).

Thanks for the pics guys that is what I needed to see. I believe that will be plenty low enough for me. I guess the wheel tubs will still need to be moved up about 3" right?

Depends on how tall your tires will be but I'm going to replace my tubs with these (13" wide ~4.75" additional height, they won't be as high as shown in the pics). I probably only need ~3" but it'll be cleaner to bring them up to the bottom of the "rail" bellow the window which is 4.75" above stock:

I sooooooooooo love that truck.... there's is just something totally awesome to me about it, not exactly sure what it is, but... it really makes me wanna get moving on my current project (see signature below) So I can get it Sold and down the road to build my "next project" which will be mostly stock, few slight mods but Red on Red.... lowered about 4/6 or 5/7....

OK. Got the camera charged and took some pics of how low you can get with bags on the arms w/ a step notch.

This is a conservative estimate of how it will sit aired out w/ a 2" block. I've got some 3/4" billet + the ECE track bar mount that will get me 1" lower. You can see on the inner pic that you will definitely have to raise the tubs. I will use the same trailer fenders mentioned by Frizzle, cut down to fit.

I measure that I will be able to cut the notch down from 8" to about 5.5-6". This will only protrude into the bed floor by about 4" which will fit nicely under the rear seat. The last pic is the plan to get the front low...

Here is mine.. I notched the frame but not above the factory top rail.. The top of the rearend just touches the bed floor.

Thanks for the props. Goodguys is to blame for this- while we were walking around, I kept thinking of how sweet the Blazer would look laid-out. Then my 'ol lady, as though reading my mind, says "You should do that to your Blazer"... Got home and immediately started ordering parts and tearing into it. I've taken a few more pics of my progress- I'll start a thread once I get a little further...

None whatsoever. I c-notched it and just wasn't happy. I want my ride height to be somewhere around where it was dumped before, maybe lower Well, maybe one misgiving: I know what I'll be doing with my free time for the foreseeable future
