I finally got some good news about my wheels and had to share it with people who might appreciate it. Ordered the new Budniks for my '68 on July 11th. After several phone calls every week, I finally received shipping confirmation today, 14 weeks later! Tires have been sitting in the garage since July 17th! I'm sure the next few days will seem even longer as I wait for UPS to show up, but they're finally coming! Of course, I'll post pics as soon as they come out of the boxes.

Re: Finally! Wheels have shipped!
The worst part is that when I ordered them they said "6 to 8 weeks, we've been running around 6 weeks lately". Of course, I think it'll be worth it in the end!

Re: Finally! Wheels have shipped!
You better get them pics of your wheels on your truck posted asap...lol.
Also I looked at the old 04 post of your bag setup. I have a 67 chevy swb that I really want to bag and your setup with the air bags in place of your front and back coils. What is in your setup? Im buying from suicidedoors and I can't find any part numbers when I do a search. I want to do a Slam bag I think. Would very much apreciate it if you had a part number for the front and rear brackets. Do you like the setup? Does it get very low? OH,...lol...pics. Good lookinh wheel, I don't hear about many 19's. Re: Finally! Wheels have shipped!
I figured 18's look too small and 20's look too big in front (in my opinion) so since I'm having the wheels built, why not get something a little different?
My plan had always been to run Torq-Thrust II's, but I saw a post on here a few months ago that showed over a dozen trucks....and they all had Torq-Thrust II's! So I found a wheel that I like (OK, love!) and figured I'd take being different to the next level.

Re: Finally! Wheels have shipped!
That is a sweet wheel...I looked at it many times. Old style with a contemporary look!
....and boy do I feel your pain with the waiting on wheels thing!!!

Re: Finally! Wheels have shipped!
That's kinda the theme I have in mind....old style with a modern flair. Old style wheel in modern big inch sizes, 1968 body lines with modern air suspension, etc.

Re: Finally! Wheels have shipped!
Awesome. I always thought 19/20 would look great. Your tire sizing is spot-on too. Check out this one w/ the 19/20 combo:

Re: Finally! Wheels have shipped!
Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals
They were the best I could find in the sizes I want, plus the tread pattern looks killer! They're recommended very highly on TireRack.com.

Re: Finally! Wheels have shipped!
As promised, here are a few pics of the new wheels and tires mounted on the truck. The cab is only on temporarily, as I still need to finish plumbing brakes, air lines, etc. Also, the rear end in the pictures is just a roller. Still waiting on 5-lug conversion axles from Early Classic to install in my '68 rear. Rolled the whole thing out in the driveway this morning to give it a quick rinse. The cab and frame have been sitting in storage for a while now (long story) so they are extremely dusty. I LOVE the stance with these wheels and tires!

Re: Finally! Wheels have shipped!
Man those look good mounted up. Certain wheels don't look as good on the website as they do mounted up. Those rock...

Re: Finally! Wheels have shipped!
There's a rest of the truck? I knew I was forgetting something! Everything else is boxed up and ready to move into the new shop once it gets built (still aiming for Thanksgiving). The frame and cab were the big items that I couldn't find a place to store until then, so they came to live in my garage.
Everyone else, thanks for the compliments. I value the opinions of everyone on this board very highly. Seems like everyone agrees that the wheels have a "classic timeless" look...exactly the reactions I was hoping for.

Right on - great choice in wheel. That was actually one of the top wheels I was going to get.
