Classic Performance sucks?????
I ordered new trailing arm bushings online from CPP, they were listed as $12 each online and in the catologue. when i placed my order it gave me a total with shipping. when the order showed up i didnt even look at the invoice, just stuck it in the file and went to installing them. then my cc statement showed up and the charge wasnt right. i called them and the person i talked to siad my salesman would have to call me back t fix this. i called him many times over the past week and he never returned my call but to day i got him on the phone and he basically told me it was too bad because this is printed at the bottom of their site "Prices subject to change without notice" the difference was $4 per bushing. i told him they just lost my business over $8, and he ddint even care. so now i called back and am on hold after requesting a supervisor

Re: Classic Performance sucks?????
You could dispute the charges with Visa....

Re: Classic Performance sucks?????
well alright that guy siad on that itme he could credit me back the diff. im not going to believe it untill i see it on my statement. as far as disputing the charges, its a visa debit/check card and my bank doesnt do that i ahve to work it out myself. anyway i guess the moral of the story is not to order online from CPP b/c they may charge you whatever they feel like

Re: Classic Performance sucks?????
sounds like the big problem was he didn't verify the price of the parts with you before the grand total. if you knew the price was different you could have discussed it at that time, instead of the suprise you ended up with.
prices are always subject to change. when i ordered my 6-bolt rotors from CPP the price was LOWER than the online catalog. can't find the receipt, but i think it was $15-20 less. can't complain about that. a good sales rep will give you the prices of the items, usually as you order them, when verifying quantities.

I've got a real bad experience to share about CP but I'll wait another week or so to see if they actually work it out.

if it says visa, you are covered...call visa.
That happened to me awhile back, I called visa directly, they handled it for me.

Re: Classic Performance sucks?????
I had/have issues with CPP
I bought the disk brake conversion kit for Frances and they charged me but forgot to send the new bearings.. Took about two extra weeks. Problem number 1 was the Brake hose bolts they sent were the wrong size. After 3 calls I just gave up and went to the local autoparts store and $9.00 later had the right ones. My next project is the power booster ...Hmmm I drive a 1956 GMC what are these instructions for ?? Cadman

Re: Classic Performance sucks?????
I placed an order with CPP Dec 22, OK it's Christmas time and it's not a present so no biggie. Never recieved confirmation e-mail. So on Dec28 I called and talked to the sales Rep I had spoken with. He said that they were awaiting parts to assemble the Master cylinder and hyd clutch cyl. It would be another week. ( this would have een a good thing to tell the customer)I followed up on Jan 4th Still waiting on parts should be in any day. Called again on the 8th and was told that everythig was there and would be shipped out that day.
On the 10th wrote an e-mail to their customer service, called again the following morning and imagine this, now they know me by name. I'm told that because of the holidays and inventory that my parts were going to be shipped out that afternoon(11th Jan/08). I actually recieved a call stating that they were going out the door. Here is the problem, first off they are more that willing to take all of your information and tell you that they can ship and everything is in stock until you challenge them. Then because it's 3 days before the holidays or they planned an inventory your order sits until everything returns to normal. I continued my order even though they made me feel as though it was my fault that I ordered my parts as such a silly time of the year, as if I was aware of their inventory or the fact that their parts require assembly before shipment. And how rediculous of me to expect communication on my order that is over two weeks old. Ok I'm Done with the rant...... |
