I have been thinking

I want to add the stock trim back to my truck. I also want a two tone paint job like this one:

The way I want mine is blue mist metallic on the top and bottom and white in the middle.
I think it would look much better with the 73-80 trim:

rather than the 81-87 trim. What would be involved in changing my truck to the earlier style? Fenders, hood, and grill. Anything else? What do ya'll think?

Re: I have been thinking

if you want to put the 73-80 trim you need the fenders grille, core support, filler panel under the grille and the wiper arms from those model years.. if you want to use the 73-80 door panels you need to change the doors but if you will leave your interior alone, you can leave your original doors.
the trim and all you can put on yourself and drill the necessary holes yourself . you can buy the trim and hardware on your own im sure some of the board vendors can give you prices of both the trim and the nose if you wanna go aftermarket but you can still find these parts used fairly cheap and easily
on edit you will also need to swap out the bumper and brackets for the 73-80 style but the frame is the same so you wont have to do any mods there to the best of my knowledge i did the opposite swap i did a 83 cab onto a 76 chassis so i have some experience in this
