Another 700r4 question

When I put a 700r4 in my 70 blazer I'm going to move the cross member back to make up for the difference in the length between the th350 and the 700r4. Does anyone know if the front or rear driveshaft from a newer truck/ blazer/ suburban would fit? I'm wondering if the transmission sits further back on the truck in the later years? I could be way off here but if anyone knows I would appreciate it.

Re: Another 700r4 question

I remember reading in a thread a few months back that a later suburban with a stock 700r4 front driveshaft would work.
