67 GMC grille question

I've read in some archived posts about the changes that are necessary to put a 67 GMC grille on a 72 GMC front clip. While there is a lot of info, I'm still confused about something and need some opinions.

1) am I required to remove the eyebrows and top bar to run the 67 grille?
2) has anyone else done this^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^?

My concern is that I have a very nice 72 front end with good chrome and a good hood that I don't want to change, but I have a painted grille that I do want to change. I MUCH prefer the 67 chrome grille to the latter years, as I don't like the black accents. Opinions?

Yes, want to use a 67 GMC grille vs. current 72 GMC grille.

Re: 67 GMC grille question

I could be wrong but I think the grille will swap out you might have to change the upper grille molding if you want to keep the 69-72 hood but you shoud be able to use the trim off your old grill I hope this helps you out.

Re: 67 GMC grille question

If you are just going to use the 67 grill then you will have to remove the 67 top bar and replace it with the top bar from the 72. If you also want to use the 67 hood with the grill it's more complicated.
