Does the rubber bushing of the panhard bar sit flush on the back of that bolt next to the axel tube or does it stop before at the thick part of the bolt?
Reason I ask, since I reinstalled my rearend I now have that driveshaft center support bearing making a squeaking noise. It needs to be change but my panhard bar does not sit back all the way. Wondering if thats the problem.

I believe it should sits flush. Did you center the rear before you installed the panhard bar?

The rearend was center (somewhat) before it was removed. After I lowered the truck I went to a alignment shop and told him to center the rear. When I got the truck backit had measurments 30" on one side 35 on the other.
Was told that chevys tend to be not centered from the factory.
When it came back from the alignment shop it did not squeak, not until I reinstall the rearend so it might be my fault.

well its best to center the rear measuring from the inside of the tire to the frame rail thats sort of the purpose of having an adjustable panhard// i use a ratchet strap from a trailing arm to the opposit frame rail// as far as the squeak lossen up the monnting bolts on the carrier bearing hanger and shake the driveshaft a bit then rotate the shaft and see if that helps and dont forget to retighten the mounting bolts when youre done// i alsao think on the panhard mount it might be a good idea to hahe large washers to prolong the life of the rubber bushing

Well the bearing does need to be change its ripped apart so I need to change it anyway,

You mentioned that you told your alignment guy to center the rear, but these truck don't have alignment adjustments for the rear. They only have them up front. They didn't charge you for a 4 wheel alignment, did they? I centered my rear the way cdowns mentioned: giant ratcheting tie down. It works great. Then just put the panhard bar in place and your set.
