High solids acrylic enamel ?'s
I got a gallon of silver metalic,acrylic enamel from work. I was thinking of using it to paint my suspension parts and possibly the frame. How would this hold up against petroleum products...etc? Has anybody else here used it on their trucks?

OK, not the same brand...
VIP has a line of industrial high solids spray paint, it's some pretty good stuff. I've shot small items and sold them on here, and I get asked if it's powder coated, or if it's POR'd... no one ever figured it to be spray bomb... VERY good stuff. Resists chemicals pretty good, and pretty resistant to chips and scratches. |

no the paint I have is an enamel paint that will need a primer. We use it at work for painting Paper Dryers. We quit using it because of the tiger striping from the metal flake. We went to using a non-metalic high solids acrylic enamel instead.

i say do a little test at work. all you need is a table spoon of brake fluid, i think thats about as harsh on painted surfaces as you will find on our trucks
