Question 67 LWB - One Sun visor???

I recently brought home a 67 LWB and been doing some cleaning inside and ready to replace front rotted fenders and put a good hood on it.

I was working on the interior last weekend and the driver side sun visor had a wasp nest behind it and was trashed, I was ready to install two good green ones I have.

I went to screw in the passenger side BUT it is not even drilled for a visor and never appears to have had one???????

Has anybody ever come across this?

Re: 67 LWB - One Sun visor???

I have a '67 short bed stepside and mine is the same, only the driver's side has a sun visor. When I get to that point I will drill the holes for a passenger side visor.

Re: 67 LWB - One Sun visor???

My '67 C-30 didn't come with a passenger side visor or a rear view mirror. It has dimples where they would have mounted, but were never drilled.

I also have a 1967 stepside with only a driver side sun visor. I thought it strange and did notice dimples where the passanger visor should be. My question is if I want to install the passanger side one do I just need to drill holes or do I need a plate behind the metal to hold it in place? Thanks.

Re: 67 LWB - One Sun visor???

My 67 came with 2 sunvisors but only the driver side rear view mirror. the pass. side is smooth. also, my interior door skins have no holes to mount the arm rests. and it`s a custom cab

Re: 67 LWB - One Sun visor???

the passenger visor was an option as was a rear view mirror on the inside and on the passenger side. since back then it only needed one rear view mirror on the vehicle they were optional but after 67 i believe the you had to have all three. the armrest were also optional i believe.

Re: 67 LWB - One Sun visor???

These are the only currently pics i have. I'm putting a complete matching front clip on it this weekends from another truck I parted. It currently has a completey rotted Core support and both fenders are gone. From the firewall and back it's pretty clean.

I have allways like the small window cabs!

Re: 67 LWB - One Sun visor???

I'd buy them all day for that price. They are hard not to when they are that cheap. clean rockers to boot. I call them work trucks, once someone scratched their head and asked how many work trucks do you need? LOL

Re: 67 LWB - One Sun visor???

I guess even the wasps know a good truck. My 49 GMC came with a couple of good sized wasps nest in it from years past. One was good sized too. under the gas pedal

Y'all should start a new "club" to put down in your avatar area. Instead of "The 4x4 Club" or "The Disc Brake Club", it could say "The One Visor Club" or maybe the "MonoVisor Club"

Re: 67 LWB - One Sun visor???

Think a visor is a strange option?Look at a Panel, the passenger seat is an option.

Re: 67 LWB - One Sun visor???

The panel also has a very unique floor there with traction strips. It's almost shaped like a ramp.
