Since were talking about odd trucks, check this out
I found this on c/l this morning, looks as if he added a sleeper cab and made it into a extended cab. From the pics it sure appears clean, usally the az sun cooks off a paint job like that.

Actually, that looks more tastefully well done than actually extending the cab...
I wonder if he left the topper removable?

Im impressed...
on the topic of an extended cab, those are pretty easy to build if you are good with a welder, resin and FG. take a long bed, put a short BED on it, then fill in the gap with extending the cab via cutting off the rear of the main single cab. and hell no Im not gonna post up scans of my design lol

I remember a "Truckin" magazine article from the mid to late '80s (or maybe early 90's - i dont know) -- cconcerning this mod-- either like this one, or with a full size topper on it

Looks like it's missing a set of "stacks" behind that sleeper to give it a mini "semi" look. Does look clean though and tight in that back seat.

Re: Since were talking about odd trucks, check this out
What's so odd about that?
That was a very popular mod to do on thies trucks in the mid 80's several of my friends done the same thing but there trucks were the crew cab dually. They both worked for Offshore race boat teams and all of the Offshore teams had the same set up on there tow rigs as well. Maybe it was a So. Fla. thing. That one is nice tho. |
