Long water pump = electric fan?
Just wondering if anyone has switched from a short water pump to a long water pump and could not use the mechanical fan. I had to due to the serpentine system I bought, so I'm trying to plan ahead for my install this weekend. If you did have to run electric fans, which ones did you use?

Re: Long water pump = electric fan?
I had a long water pump with a flex fan. Worked fine until I added A/C. I then upgraded everything to short water pump stuff, 4 row rad, and 7 blade clutch fan.
So yeah, should work no problem, but you'll need all the pulleys and stuff from a long water pump motor and I think the alt. bracket from a long pump too.
