oil drain plug
I cannot get oil to stop leaking from drain plug. I changed washer to a plastic type or something still leaks after tightening alot. What is the best washewr to use.

I dont know about the truck but i had a crack in the oil pan at the drain hole on my bike. Got that fixed and the drip went away. On the truck though I use an aluminum or plastic one, either has worked fine. Some of my buddies like the copper...

I had another one that was cross threaded and that one never stopped leaking until I got a drill and drilled it out and rethreaded it to a larger size... I tried the fix it kit with a self threading bolt but that didn't help because the plug was not flat on the nut. |

Thanks for in info . I picked up another plastic washer from napa but I am going to change oil agin tomorrow and look a little closer at everything. Had oil sender leaking last month tightened it up no more leak. thanks

Oh by the by, with that crack in the bike pan, the tighter the more it leaked. Good luck......
