Blazer Tank Filler behind taillight
I remember seeing in the past a post telling how to put the filler location for a blazer tank installed in a pickup behind the rear taillight.
Any pictures or advice on pulling this off would be greatly appreciated,

What causes flow problems is it to tight of angles or kinks or ?
How did you attach the hinge? On the one that is not hinged how do you keep the taillight in place? Could you use heavy duty magnets?

ebfabman,
That looks like a real nice setup. Can you give us the details of how it was done? |

Gas tank filler location
ebfabman,
Thanks. I saw that setup the other day, and downloaded the info. I am just getting started, and looking into my options. I think that I like your setup even better. Do you know what you used for door parts, filler hose parts and such? What are you using for a gas tank? |

72 mario,
Did you take any pics during the process. Do you have any problems with lowered truck and blazer tank. I am only going to lower 2" front and 4"rear. |

It looks like the side marker filler would be a bit easier. And I think I like it better. Any filling problems with sidemarker setup???

gas tank filler
The side marker light gas tank filler looks better. At least that is my 2 cents worth.

Although the sidemarker filler is a nice setup, those of us who have 67's or fill the sidemarkers on the 68 and newer, can't use that option. I also am interested in the taillight hinge procedures that have been done. HvyChevy454, how did you hinge yours and what parts did you use?
Thanks........

gas tank filler
would one of you guys please set up a site where you go into more detail with this procedure i just removed my cab tank this weeken and already have the kit from brothers to relocate, but i already shaved my marker lights and think the tailight set up is trick as hell, but i do have one question would it be ok to do the same thing to the backup light?or would the filler create a problem with the taillight?see my truck is slammed and i dont think i could get that much flow from the taillight,i think any info would be greatly appreciated for the weekend project man like myself and besides im trying to shave everything such as no more door handles, marker lights, bed stake holes and of course gas tank, any help and info would be great.....enclosed is a pict of before the shave when i finish ill include an after ...if i ever do finish

Dude the flip down reverse light seemes like a trick setup I dont know if there is enough room to mount the hing on the reverse housing I guesss any thing is possible . I will look into your Idea and see it is Do-Able.

heres a link w/ updated pics
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...threadid=27665 i dotn rember exactly what i got the hinge off of, i think it was an 80s mustang, all fords have same type of hinge it seemed. I should have spent more time lookin fro a more suitable hinge though. Butwhat i did was cut out the inner tube and weld a piece of metal horizontally w/ holes in to have a place to mount the hinge. then fabbed up a little bracket to mount the filler, i got the filler off of some tank i found in a junk yard.
