Wheels Back to the drawing board!!!
Well I got the Foose wheels I bought off of eBay. Surprise! they do not fit!!! Guy said they where for a 68 with six lug but the center hub is the issue. Wheel does not sit properly on the hub... They are for a late model application. I did secure some rally six lug wheels so I am returning to a stock looking appearance for now. This sucks about the wheels but I like the look of the six lug rally wheels... How do you guys keep the center caps on the wheels???? I have wheels, 4x4 center caps and trim rings...

You could just get spacers to space the wheel out just enough to clear the hub. Of course u would need to measure for fit and such, but it might work...

The factory caps bolt on with 3 self-tapping bolts from the back of the wheel.There are the later `88-up caps that use special lugs and screw-on lug covers to hold them on.Those look real clean.There are two types and I`m not sure if the other type bolts like the earlier ones or clip onto lugs.
I`m not sure how these are held on...

Special-K, they prob used short self tapping screws from the back-side of the wheel into the 'webbing' (thicker areas of plastic) on the back side of those late model caps. Then you can use standard lug nuts vs. the slightly more exspensive 'conversion' lug nuts.

Thanks Scoti.I think the chrome acorns look alot better,too.
I wondered about machining the center bore.I`d want it riding on the hub center,no spacers.

I bought 22" Eagle 026s and had a similar problem. They fit fine in the front, but the back tucked in way too far. When I dropped the truck off the lift, the bed actually rested on the tires. I had to buy 1" adapters/spacers.

Had the hub issue with my ST's... Sent the wheels to the machine shop and for $80.00 the problem was solved.... Ended up spacing them anyways because I wanted them out further...
