Is it common to find...
...the front drums still riveted to the hubs? My '66 still has them that way. My grandfather tended to be really easy on equipment. The drums don't even need to be turned. Just wondering.

Re: Is it common to find...
When i bought my '64 C10 back in 1992, the drums were still rivited to the hubs. My '57 Belair still had the rivits when i changed over to disk brakes last year.

Interesting. Were those on your '64 still good enough to leave alone or...? I bought new shoes for mine. The stock ones were paper thin.

Re: Is it common to find...
my 65 had the rivets still in it. A drill and a hammer made short work of that.

Re: Is it common to find...
Nooooooo! I want my '66 as original as I can keep it. The rivets stay. New wheel bearings and seals? Okay. I'll go that far.

Re: Is it common to find...
I had to replace the drums as they were beyond turning. I ground down the rivet heads and used a punch to knock them out. Easy!
