brake booster

i went to napa the other day and they said there is 2 difrent kinds of brake boosters and only one of them will fit but they dont know which one will fit
they said it would be the same brand of what was on the to start with but i cant tell what was on there?
does anyone know what brake booster i need?
here is a picture of the one i have now

That appears to be a Delco Brake booster.

That looks like a half ton booster - the 3/4 ton is a little different looking. It's smaller around and "thicker".

one more question about the the brake booster is where does the long bracket mount to?

The long end goes to the outboard master cylinder stud underneath the mounting nut in the picture. The short end goes to the firewall below the booster.

I think you have the booster mounting bracket on upside down also!

They are also fliped around. Let me try this if looking at the top view you have [] you need to have ][.
