2005 suburban rear heat problems

I have a '06 Suburban with a 5.3L 1500 series. The thing will pump out major heat from the front but in the rear it is frigid cold, like we are running the a/c.

Dealer says that it needs to warm to 190* before it will start pumping heat to the rear. We get it to that temp and it still is cold. It might start warming up after engine is at full temp.

Any ideas?

You either have a restricted/plugged heater core or a bad actuator in the rear keeping it from switching the temp door. Get it warmed up, then get under it and feel the two heater hoses at the passengers rear of the truck. They bee hard plastic/metal lines with quick connect fittings. If they are getting hot you probably have a temp door or controller problem. If not you probably have something gumming it up...

Cool Josh, thanx for the input. I wont be able to try this for a few days, cause I have the power steering pump out and waiting for a new hose.

I'll let you know what I find.
