Power brake conversion questions
Are all power brake boosters from 67-72 the same? I found 2 of them in the local yard , one is from a 72 Suburban and the other from a 71 GMC 3/4 ton. Will these booster work in my 72 Chevy? Will I also need to get the brake lines off them? can I use my own calipers or do I need to get those to? Any help you guys can offer is always much appreciated.
This is a total conversion , from manual brakes to power.

The boosters are the same if they are from the same model (C10, C20, etc.). They should all fit any 67-72 body style, regardless. Make sure you get ALL the brackets, the rod to the pedal, ALL the lines you can and don't bend, strip, or kink them, and the proportioning valve and master cylinder (though you'll likely get a new master anyway). Use a brake line wrench and get all the lines you can. I'm in brake line hell right now. The more complete and intact the setup, the better off you'll be. Boosters rarely go bad and valves even more rarely so not to worry. Did I mention to get the lines? Good luck!

Looks like it will be a 72 burb that I will be robbing the parts from. I hope they will all fit on my C/10.

I just completed this upgrade. The KEY part is the bracket for bolting this onto the firewall. I simply pulled the master cylinder away from the firewall and inserted this booster & bracket in the middle. After a few (several) adjustments to the pedal setup under the dash , my baby is stopping on a dime.
The only problem I have is when I first start out in the morning the brakes are kind of tight (grabbing quickly). BUT as i brake 3 or 4 times leaving my neighborhood they get better and end up getting to a "normal" pedal on a truck. I don't know what the situation is with that, but OTHERWISE this was a pretty easy upgrade all things considered. Brian
