So I walk outside to get in my truck when low and behold I see this:

Makes me want to scream! Darn vandals!
I had to start parking on the street a couple months ago when I bought the Burb for my wife. Not enough room for both. I was just waiting for something to happen. Seems like you can't leave a vehicle parked on a main road without somebody hitting/vandalizing/messing with it...Grrrr! Now I have to find a window before it rains, and today is my only day off during the week.

Nah the dent has been there for about 20 years. Found 6 inch bolt in the bed. Must have been what they threw at the window. Of course cause of the age I only have liability. I have to fork out all the $$ to replace it now.

You should be able to get one at a wrecker pretty cheap. I picked one up for 30.00 this past summer.

Can't keep nothing nice no more.

We've got a brand new car that my wife drives and, with less than 2500 miles on it, it's already got a ding and 2 scratches in it from people opening up doors into it. And it doesn't matter. I could park 3 miles from the front of a store and some

will park next to it.

that sucks man.... i would wait up late everynight...and hunt them.....i was selling some wheels over the summer and these two guys kept coming over and looking at them... and i snuck up on them once and they was looking at the cable s i had around the wheels and tree... i acted like i didnt see anything and started joking with them and all... i stalked that ole pine tree for 2 days... finally about 1:30 one morning i caught them...trying to cut the cables... they didnt like the sound of my 860 so they ran...i fired all 5 shots mid air at them.. they was running like crazy.... i still got them damn rims though....lol and madd neighbors....that thare 12 guage be loud at 1:30

Just got a quote from one place for $360!! (and thats without new rubber) Gotta replace the rubber as it's the original. Plus the guy tells me the deluxe trim isn't available, which I'm pretty sure is. I think I saw it in some catalogs..

I can give you a half price deal for $180.

J/K. They should be much cheaper from a salvage yard. Gaskets for the deluxe trim are readily available form most site vendors.

What`s wrong with your trim?Go to another shop.That`s a ridiculous price.Get a glass and replace with standard trim yourself,it`s easy.When you fix the dent and restore the truck worry about the original trim.As long as you have that dent,it`s not like the non-original trim will detract from the truck.

Suggestion:You should have put more thought into your title or taken time to cool down,if that`s the case.I know you`re mad,but that was a heading that I wouldn`t expect to see on this site.A title like that really brings down this site`s class.

Looks like something that some kids did. Too bad that you didn't catch them and make their parents pay for it. Did you get a police report made? I would get one even though you had to pay for it just so it would be on record just in case you happen to find out who did it. Then you will have it so that you could take them to small claims court just in case the culprit is caught. Never hurts to be prepared just in case. Good luck. ...Joe

I just replaced the ORIGINAL 35 year old windshield on my 72 burb and I reused the original rubber and SS trim. I have several parts trucks and one of them had a a nice windshield. I used a razor blade to cut out the window on the parts truck, and since the glass on the burb was already broken I just pushed and chipped away until I could remove the rubber/trim intact.

Then a glass guy installed it for me for $50. I would of tried to do it my self, but I know I would have probably broke the glass

Not the best way to do it , but it sure was the most economical way. Of course your rear window rubber might not be reuseable.

That's flat glass, right? If so, a glass shop should be able to cut you one for way less than $360. Look for an older shop that has a template for that window.

get bulletproof glass and put a sign in the back window that says only pussies break auto glass or something to the effect of a taunt and set up some sort of camera lol.

That sucks that they broke your rear window. But not too long ago my front windshield of my car was replaced. I asked the guy what it would cost to replace my rear window on my truck and he said $60 for a used one. Good luck.
