front drums

I redid my front bearings today and had a hard time with my passenger side drum. Does anyone have any pics of the stock retainers on the drums? Were they rivets or what? I had to take the hub and drum off at the same time. I then ground the PO's grinds off and then knocked the hub loose from the drum. I had to grind the rivies down as well due to them not budging even with an air hammer. Were these bolted down or just plain riveted?

Re: front drums

I was thinking screws. But in anycase I don't think you need them. I think all the lugnuts and wheels would hold it on.

Re: front drums

Have a friend who worked for Gm back in the day and I asked him about the same thing. He said that the rivets held the drum and hub together on the assembly line and were non serviced parts...i.e. they werent really meant to be replaced.
