swaping trivetrain
I am looking at a 77 3/4 chevy as a donor. Will the brake booster work if I use the front suspesnion/brakes from the 77? It has a 350 with a t400 auto. Can I use the auto column in my 68 as I plan on swapping in the auto tranny? My truck is a leaf spring, with the 77 rear swap in?
One final question, did the dana 60's in our trucks ever come with 3.54s? |

Re: swaping trivetrain
ttt bump for you.
It's been many years (about 17) but I think I got my booster and gear box from a mid 70's or later truck. I kept my front drums and it's worked well for me. I'm sure someone has more recent knowledge on this. |

Re: swaping trivetrain
The booster will work in your truck as I am using a 79 booster in my 67 Chevy truck. The column will not work I believe without some modificationas I believe it is a bigger column plus it will have the key in the column. You can use the rear end in your truck but not sure if you will have to move the spring pads, they might are different. The best bet is to measure your pads on your truck and the donor truck.
