Engine & Tranny Cleaning?
I pulled my engine and tranny and want to clean both. The engine had been pulled before but obviously the tranny hasn't been since 69 when the truck was new because it had a 1/4" on crud on it. I have removed the carb, fuel pump, temp send unit, dizzy, tranny lines. The starter, water pump, water neck are all still on. What do you guys do before giving one a through bath? What parts do you suggest plugging up and sealing?

Re: Engine & Tranny Cleaning?
I had thought about using engine cleaner but with the auto trans I am concerned about getting anything into the tailshaft, vacuum, hydraulic hose fittings etc. Will using duct tape over the intake holes, dizzy hole, waterneck be sufficent?
