Finally got some decent pics
I finally got a chance to get my truck out to get some good pics of it. The only problem was it was the wrong time of day. The sun was glaring the lense no matter what angle I was at. Here are the few that turned out decent.
This restaraunt used to be called Virgil's 50's Diner It still has a neat old look to it.

These are in front of the old Al Smith Chevrolet dealer in downtown Sevierville.

Re: Finally got some decent pics
I swear, you should be ashamed, trying to take pictures when the sun messes the shot up...
Nice ride. I really like the old dealership for a backdrop. Photogs say there is a golden 30-minutes, right at sunset, that is the right time to do this photography. I guess that's why I'm no professional photog, only an amateur.

Re: Finally got some decent pics
Excellent shots given the light challenges. Seems like every time I go to take pics that same thing happens, especially around these old trucks for some unkown reason.
Your truck is very sharp and not too far from what mine will look like when I finish it. Very nice.

Re: Finally got some decent pics
Well, I could've resized the pics a little better. I thought I had them small enough.
And yes, I am ashamed.

Re: Finally got some decent pics
No, you aren't...and you shouldn't be. It's a nice ride and nice pics. I am only yanking your chain in a good-hearted way. Take pictures when you can and when you want to. I wish I had taken pix of my first car, but I didn't see the rush. After it was totaled, I got pics, but they are the only ones I have.

Re: Finally got some decent pics
You have a really nice truck - that color is gorgeous. You live in a beautiful area of the country; we stayed in Sevierville for a couple of days this past summer and thouroughly enjoyed it. BTW, the light in those pictures is fine, imo - this time of the year, the sun angle is low enough that any time of the day the light is a little more forgiving.

The pix are nothing to be ashamed of. That truck is nothing to be ashamed of either. Very nice, indeed.

I'll like a little glare!!! Shows how good the paint is!! Super ride and we love your area. We always drive around when down there. Sneak over and take a few at Garrets Muscle Car, that should be some cool pics.

Re: Finally got some decent pics
What drop are you using? 2.5 spindles and 4 in rear springs?
Definitely one of my favorites

Re: Finally got some decent pics
68Stepbed- your truck is beautiful.....
but you know, looking at the pic. LONGHAIR chopped and removed your door handles and mirrors, makes me glade I've decided to keep both of them. It's just my preference(and in no way trying to put anyone down), but I think a vehicle needs both doorhandles and mirrors. |

Re: Finally got some decent pics
I mainly took the mirror off to show more of the one-pice glass.
I wouldn't take the mirrors off of a driver either, it just to hard to drive one that way. Door handles are different though. I have owned a few vehicles w/o door handles and done it to dozens of others. I have never had any problem with them and they look pretty slick in some cars/trucks. I have done a few swaps too, putting handles from one to the doors of another. It's not for everything though...or everyone either. |
