What IFS are you guys running
Wondering what are some the kits you are running on the 47-55 trucks? Hopefully in the near future Id like to start on the frame and totally undecided on which system to run.
Ive been looking at the TCI, heidts, CE bolt in kit and also the one that uses the dodge dakota IFS. Lately it seems many guys are using a vette IFS, with choices from progressive and flat out. Looks to be a very nice system to run vs the MII. Looking for any and all comments about the IFS and maybe why you buy the kit you did vs some of the others. Thanks for your time...Eric

Re: What IFS are you guys running
There are truly to many choices so I mixed and matched parts from many vendors, but the short is MII simple easy and not really to hard if you have some fab skills to make changes to get the ride you want. I have done GM subframe swaps (pain in the butt) and also the the early GM pickup crossmembers they are easier than the GM subframes but none can be as easy as the MII however. Here is my latest project when I have time and cash flow... Has lots of pics...

Re: What IFS are you guys running
My artillerys are OG they are from a 36 Buick Sedan, the only thing left of the old girl, sent them off to CA and had them all straightend and trued as they all four where bent.
They are factory big GM 5 lug 16", redrilled my rotors and rear axle so they are now small and big GM 5 lug. They seem to be pretty rare as I have been looking for a year now for one more for my spare with no luck. Back to MII with 5/8" narrowed a arms and my offset of the artillerys I am only a 1/4" off of factory width, 1/8" per side not to bad (got lucky).
