4x4 exhaust manifolds
I need to replace one of my ram horn exhaust manifolds. One of mine is cracked and unsucessfully welded. I am looking for the most cost effective solution.
My truck is a 1967 K10, 327, 4 spd. The passengers side manifold is my main problem but the other has its own issues. My options are.. ebay / craigslist $50 for a set of used "no cracks" generally with one stud missing I see that LMC (ugggh) shows one that looks like a straight style that the 4x4 used. I have heard that if you ask any questions more involved than what is printed in their catalog that it is way too complicated. pric $100 I have heard about the tru-rams but do not really want to spend $300-$500 for the set. I would also have to find a new way to mount my alternator. Mine mounts off of the drivers side manifold. Does anyone have an opinions or know a vendor that carries anything. What have you guys done in the past to repair or replace cracked manifolds? Thanks in advance.

Re: 4x4 exhaust manifolds
sometimes they show up on the partsboard or a site vendor. $50 each is the most you should pay for a good used one. Here on the board you can get them cheaper than that used, and I have seen new for $130 a set on here. I have the same set as you and understand the alternator issue. Keep searching...

Re: 4x4 exhaust manifolds
most junk yards can order you new(re-man) jap style.. thats how i replaced mine im thinking around 60 each , they mounted fine, only thing i can see is they dont finish them off very well as in grinding down hi spots and things, if you dont have any luck locally and need a number pm me.
