71 Blazer 4x4 To 2wd

IM GETTING READY TO CHANGE IT OVER. I BOUGHT A 2WD SHORT BED, BUT I DONT KNOW IF I COULD CUT THE SHORT BED FRAME OR TAKE THE SUSPENSION OUT AND PUT IT ON MY BLAZER.

Im thinking of getting the strong arm set up from Air ride tech. for the front.
also thinking about raising the front cross member 2" into the frame.
In the rear run stock with air bag.

-Has any one cut a short bed for a Blazer
-have what do you think about the Strong Arm w/air bags

Re: 71 Blazer 4x4 To 2wd

From what I've heard, it is easier to just put he 2wd suspension on the 4wd frame. You'll need fab some shock mounts, but if you're running bags, you'd need to fab mounts anyway.

You should look at one of the Porterbuilt drop members rather than raising the front cross member. If you do a search, you'll find others that have used his products.

I Checked Into The Portbuilt, But They Cost Around 3500 With Everything. With The Crossmember And The Air Ride Is Way Too Much For Me!

Find a spare cross member and section it. A few here have done that also
