56 Wheels and Tires????

I,m looking to put mag wheels and tires on 56 step side.Right now it just has stock rims and 215 15 inh tires.I,m lookinking to put 235 /15 on.I still have manual steering and dont want to go too big.I was thinking going American Racing with baby moon hubcaps.Think they are about 130 each.If anyone has anything else or know where I can get a deal let me know please

I stayed with the factory wheels and had them sandblasted and powdercoated black. About $200

Then I purchased 48-55 hubcaps without the letters painted (they have the letters but not painted). They fit right on the stock 59 wheels.

I also purchased 59 trim rings new.

I also still have manual steering and I stayed with 215's and it steers fairly well.



What do the American Racing wheels look like?

If price is of interest I purchased a set of 6 bolt Corvette Rally wheels for my 69 GMC of eBay and had them mailed to Canada. If I remember correctly the wheels were about $375 for 4 including caps and rings and then another $25/wheel to have them mailed.

15" rally wheels 235-70r15 with small trim rings and hub cap.
I sand blasted the rims and repainted them.
The powder coater in Newmarket wanted $75 per wheel.
