I kind of like it but the 6.5 turbo is a joke. Probably can't pull the truck out of its own way. Clean looking though would turn some heads for sure.

I hope he doesn't screw up the 69/70 sitting next to it...

Plus it need a runway to turn around on. I'll second the nod that the 6.5 might be a little weak for this application. Should have just stuck a CAT in there from a Kodiak.

Ya what a big fun rig. Defiantly should have done something about a bigger motor though. I bet that thing defiantly took a lot of time to get to where its at right now.

Would make a cool "looking" tow rig for sure. Functionality is a different debate.

Re: Extended Crew Cab with 2 ton rear??? big truck
not in PA either.... here is a snapshot of Illinois law... I think he assumes the bottom of the bumper must be 30", or he just made up new numbers since his GVWR is so much more...
Illinois You can't lift the body from the chassis more than 3 inches. In terms of bumper height, a 4,500-pound GVWR or less and your front bumper can't go higher than 24 inches, and the rear must be no more than 26 inches. GVWRs between 4,501 and 7,500 mean 27 inches at the front and 29 at the rear. Finally, if your truck is between 7,501 and 9,000, the allowable altering is 28 and 30 inches.

Re: Extended Crew Cab with 2 ton rear??? big truck
Too much truck their for me..Sure,I'll take a extended cab longbed but not an extended crew cab longbed with a 44" tire..It wouldn't fit in my driveway.. I'll take the 69-70 4wd sitting in it's shadow though Last edited by 1969k10stepside; 01-02-2008 at 07:38 PM. |

assuming the insane gears in the diffs, the 6.5 probably does just fine.
