Headers - Need part number - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

First off i hope everyone here had a great holiday.

Second ... i had a thread saved in my favorites that listed some part numbers on headers i wanted to get once i got around to it. But i have since lost it and when i search for it here on the site about a gazillion threads come up with exhaust in them.

So if some one could just tell me what the part number is of the headers they are running i would really appreciate it.

I am loking for Hooker or Headmen headers(long tubes) that fit.(without convincing).

Thanks everyone ... hopefully someone has these cuz i want to order them today.

Go to Summit or Jegs and find your truck in the appropriate set of hears you want. Both sites have part numbers for every set they sell.

I know this ......

I am looking for part numbers that someone is already using as NOT ALL headers that are listed for our trucks ACTUALLY fit ....

Any engine, truck or car headers? I think we may need a little more info before we can give out part numbers. I have big block hooker comps for a chevelle, I can try to find out what the part number is but I may have to dig a little...

Hooker comp (smallblock) headers # 2452 painted. I have run both hedman & hooker, but prefer the Hookers for the fit. The hookers hang 2 1/4 " below the rails at the lowest point(the flange)....same both sides. Both sets work fine, but the Hedmans hang lower on the dr side.....not good on a lowered truck. crazyL

My Hedman long tubes [69090] required a notch in the frame [drivers side] after a few weeks of driving on my '70. Another issue was plug accessibility on 5 & 6. I swapped over to the Jeep conversion shorty headers [69640] and clearance is no longer an issue. Install time was less than ten minutes FROM THE TOP! Every bolt is accesible like never before and plug installation is very easy as well. I am sold on these headers and will never buy any others again.

I had Hookers on before and they fit fine, but were rusted and rotted. I've always preferred Hedman's.

I just had some mid-length Sandersons, ordered from ECE, put on today. They stay very close to engine block (maybe too close as we had to grind a little bit of 200R tran housing on driver's side) but are tucked up nice by the firewall and give great ground clearance for lowered trucks. Check out their site.

I had long tubes on and didn't like them hanging down low (plus the exhaust hung down below everything as well).
