hei blunders lmao

ok so i got it all in hooked up went to turn it over it started to crank no backfires then the battery went out so do you think its time and i should head to wally world and get a battery?

Sounds like it, but I don't recommend the wally world NEVERSTART batteries. Go to one of the bigger car places like Advance, Auto Zone or O'Reillys. If you keep your receipt (not on the battery,heat destroys Advance and Zone receipts), and make sure they put you in their computer, their warranty system can be more reliable than wal mart's(their receipts are destroyed by heat as well). I have worked for 2 of the three in the past for a total of 16 years, and if the info is given correctly (and phone number is remembered by you) the data bases do work well.

The language isn't really appropriate for this FAMILY-ORIENTED board.

The two problems aren't related; if you need a battery go get one

Make sure the HEI is connected to an ignition hot 12v source, and then double-check your timing. The backfire is a pretty good indication that it's not installed correctly.
