They did make 6 cyl tack's. I have 1 in my 250 6 cyl. chey Super 8

i was looking really hard a few months back and i found one, i thought the V8 tach dashes could get expensive this guy wanted 975. and that price wasnt even shipped. if i find his number i will send it to you maybe he still has it.

I've been looking for awhile. Haven't seen one in awhile, either. From what I've been told, the new aftermarket ones have a switch to select 6 or 8. This may be the way I end up going.
