rear tire width question
does anybody know what the widest rim/tire you can run in the rear is without shortening the rear axle.im going to use aftermarket wheel well tubs in the bed, but dont want to shorten the axle.i plan on racing it some, but i want to run slicks at the track and still have chrome wheels on the street.backspacing would be helpfull also if available.thanks in advance

Re: rear tire width question
I run a weld rodlite 15x12 wheel with a 7.5 bs. tires are MT 29-15.5 sportsmans. In the bed i took a set of stock wheel wells and cut em and welded them together, also had to cut to my frame in the bed but it was pretty simple.

Re: rear tire width question
no i don t of that but its not that difficult what you do is take a stock wheel tub and measure the diffrence you need and take another and cut what you need out of the other tube to make how wide you need...then burn the two halfs together to make one good tub...as for the bed you measure how wide the tub is and then you just mark out where it falls and cut it out.. just make sure you leave enough of a flange to mount it to on the floor

Re: rear tire width question
I may be doing the same mod here, once I finish OverKill's front and move to the rear.
