mufflers

need help with my exhaust. I want something on the quite side. I'll run cutouts for when I feel like being loud.

Muffler suggestions?

So you want mufflers that are quiet? I like Flowmasters 3 chamber design run with an X-pipe instead of a traditional H-pipe. The X-pipe has a mellow sound at normal around town speed and at freeway cruise, but really screams (think nascar type sound) when floored.

Re: mufflers

Flows and any of those more popular brands are overpriced. I put a set of turbo's on mine. They had like 2 different options long or shorts. I went with the shorter ones. Nice sound not to loud, i turned mine down before the rear end so i get a little cab noise at idle and low speed nothing after that. You can run them all the way out the back and you will not have that problem. They were like 40$ each. I have had flows in the past on other trucks and i like these better. I think the flows started at around 130$ each.

That way I can keep my truck quiet or flip a switch and have a loud open exhaust.

Re: mufflers

It is m-co or M ko turbo's. Something like that. I even called the guy and asked him again what the correct name was i can say it but can't seem to spell it. He was an old school cat who had couple older cars in his shop and sold me on these pretty quick. If you can't find anything by asking a few local shops i will call him back and get him to spell it for me.
