What color hazard knob was stock

What color hazard knob was stock for a 71or72 tilt column? Was it the red one or the black one?

Thanks

Re: What color hazard knob was stock

I don't think there is any real "standard" From what I have seen. It appears they grab what ever one was handy at the time of assembly. My one tilt (from a 72) has a red one. My 70's original column had a black with letter one. The three others I have (non tilt) have two red and one black.

We talked about this years ago, and I don't think we ever came up with an absolute answer. But I am alot older today, so I forget things too

Re: What color hazard knob was stock

I have not seen a "standard" on the '70s van tilts either.
