'68 Caps...ALWAYS look at the back!
It is more important than the front of the cap!!! These are examples of '68 polished stainless caps available in '68. They are indentical in outer appearance and all 10.5-in diameter caps that are about 2.625-in. tall. These are 2x4 caps...I do not believe that they will fit the 4x4 trucks but have not checked.
The far left is a 1/2 ton cap that fits over the nubs...it might even fit over the nubs on a later model 3/4 wheel but I have not checked that. The center cap is a 1/2 ton "clip" style cap for wheels with the clips. It measures 8.0 inches to the outside of the inner ring. The far right is a cap for a 3/4 or 1 ton clip style wheel. It measures 9.25 to the outside of the inner ring.

Re: '68 Caps...ALWAYS look at the back!
No...but I find them handy and nice for sheet metal work. They are stainless and very durable.
I bought 6 NOS caps off eBay and none of them were exactly what I wanted. Now I would do it all over again at the price I paid but if I am paying "market" rates for these...I always want to know if I am getting what I need.

Re: '68 Caps...ALWAYS look at the back!
They made it tough on us in the transition year.Especially with the 8-lug caps having the same face. The nub-type will only work on 1/2t truck wheels(& car).I need a set of`68 GMC nub-types.I haven`t really started trying to look.I expect it to be a tough search. It`ll prolly take 40 caps to end up with a decent 4 set.

Re: '68 Caps...ALWAYS look at the back!
There is a company that will redo mangled stainless caps. I have yet to try them out but I am keeping some of the older beat-up caps just in case. I have 3/4 ton clip-style GMC's but none of the clipless GMC caps. If I find any...I will "rat-hole" them for you.
