Basement tailgate collection.
OK, some of the newer guys wont remember this but I'm hoping some of the members who've been around a while will. Wasn't there a member who had a collection of take off tailgates hanging in their basement as well as a full A/C dash with a tach cluster? I remember seeing the pics but I don't remember who it was. I really don't need to know for any particular reason aside from just wanting to see the pics again. Maybe I'm just trying to assure myself I'm not the only person who collects odd things. Anyway, I've searched three ways til Sunday and still haven't found any info, so if you can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance fellas!

You`re not talking about JoesJunk`s garage wall art are you?I thought it was a club basement when I first saw his display.

Re: Basement tailgate collection.
I believe he is trying to complete the color spectrum. I saw it in person awhile back and it was awesome... I am sure it is better now.

That's just cool! Any more pics? How are the gates attached to the wall? I've got a couple I'm thinking about hanging.

Re: Basement tailgate collection.
I wish I had a basement to hang stuff on. No wonder we can't buy a good factory tailgate nomore. Longhorn Man has them all in his basement.

Re: Basement tailgate collection.
LOL..That is my gate collection. I have no idea why I started collecting take off gates, but I did. It sure is a conversation starter! I also like NOS hub caps and any other NOS items I can find. I also have 4 NOS gates in the box. I just bought another gate from Randy today!!

Seems like such a waste.
Not really...but yeah. Joe, did we ever figure out the silver 69 hubcap? I have 3, 2 of them were spray bomb'd white, one still silver. And a Q for Keven... Is that a burb hatch there on the right? |

Re: Basement tailgate collection.
I remember that. I was wondering if anyone figured out any more on it. The ones i have won't fir on the rear of a 3/4 ton or one ton... dana or Eaton. It's too shallow. However, it'll go on the wheel... it has the diameter for the 20 and 30 series, but not the depth.
