Heated West Coast mirrors...

I did a search without much luck.

Does anybody make a modern day version that is heated and possible signal lights in the mirrors?

Thanks-
John

Re: Heated West Coast mirrors...

If you go with something aftermarket, as I assume you will, be sure to take the wing windows into account. When they swing open, they use up a little bit of space, and you can bet that space will be where you want to put the mirrors.

Re: Heated West Coast mirrors...

I've been thinking about this very same thing myself. To look like an O.E.M. option you'd need power mirrors from an '89-'91 model Blazer, Crew Cab or Suburban. Un bolt the head from the mount (3 torx head screws on the underside) then replace them with mirror heads from Muth Mirrors for a 1992-1999 model suburban then follow the instructions to wire them up. They even have kits to install heated mirrors as well. Although I'll have to do some more research on them before deciding if thats something I want.
Here's a link for muth mirrors.

Re: Heated West Coast mirrors...

I had optional heated mirrors with an amber light in the backside on my 1987 GMC General. I doubt even the part numbers have survived this long! The mirror heaters weren't as good as the units without the built in light.

Re: Heated West Coast mirrors...

I'm thinking about getting a set of 'em for my dually. The truck has the original DG5 Senior's from the factory. I looked at Truck-lite but they don't have 'em. Grote doesn't have any that are combination heated/lighted but they have just heated or just lighted ones:
