I saw this very clean 73 crew cab K20 at the Daryl Starbird show in Wichita last week. The guy who owns/built it is a drag racer and he uses this truck to pull his enclosed trailer with race car.
![]() ![]() He was very nice and eager to talk about his truck. He had a newer truck, I think he said a 1998 and he put it's motor/tranny into this truck and is using a divorced transfer case. The front axle is a 3/4 ton Dana 44, I assume the rear was a 14 bolt but I didn't look. He also put in the newer vehicles dash. ![]() His outside finish was very nice and it's cool to me to see that it is more work truck than show truck as can be seen from the motor. ![]()

Re: Very nice 73 Crewcab
Wonder how tough the dash was to accomplish?
Sweet truck, thanks for the pics. |

Wow...that is a nice truck! It looks like he's running auto locking hubs. I wonder why he chose that route?
Thanks for posting the pics! |

Re: Very nice 73 Crewcab
Hmm, I think it was a long bed, it was big!

Re: Very nice 73 Crewcab
I'll be the first nitpicker on the scene, I think the grille/headlights look cheesy, and I've never been fond of large rims on any truck, period. I do like the color, though.
