Portland Swap Meet
Went there today...cost $9 to get in...$5 to park...and it was pretty small. I did find this 69 Blazer. It was offered by WIX filters in '97 by mail only & it was part of a set w/a Chevelle on a trailer. Sold then of $20...now one for sale in this booth for $100. I got this Blazer only for $30, because he didn't have the Chevelle. I have no idea how common they are. It is a nice metal body w/removable top.
Most trucks and parts were rough & over priced. One exception was a solid, original, 71 Longhorn: loaded w/ BB, AC, AM-FM, tilt, tach, side cargo box, blue & white, daily driver...$5,800 firm. |

Frank, I met a guy last night in Kent that was driving a beautiful Blazer, daily driver, black or red...I was with my daughter and just got a glimpse of it. He said he is restoring a Suburban too and was headed your way to pick up some parts today. Did you stiff him or did he forget you were going to be in Portland? I forgot to get his name but he seemed like a very nice fellow...small world!

His name is Jay. I took care of him after the meet. He came rolling in here in a late model dually, 454, "supercharged". What a beast!
