Re: pics of a 1/3 inch drop
Early Classic Enterprises has a few great side shots of different drops on different trucks for referrence. Personally I think alot of people forget how much the trucks of these years have sagged along the years and if you attempted a 1-3 drop you may not noice any change. Ive seen it happen many times. 2-4 or 2.5-4/5 drops really make a different look thats very noticeable and are still fairly cheap, easy to install and ride great as long as proper shocks and bumpstops are used.

Re: pics of a 1/3 inch drop
thanks for the link, im not really wanting anything noticable, i just want something to even my truck out and maybe just a little bit of a drop. i live down a dirt road, so if i go much farther than a 1/3 i might not be able to go down the road lol

Quote:
Years ago I was told a-g body cars rear coils would drop out trucks nice in the rear,so I got a set for the rear and installed them on the back and when I was done my truck sat higher than it did at first. The age of these truck and the coils/leafs tenancies to sag over time actually lowers your truck already and when installing new drop coils and/or leafs you will be surprised the ride height might increase rather than drop. The link from ECE showing how they sit with certain drop packages clearly shows how high they were stock with new coils versus a 2-4/2-5 or a 4-6 or more.

Re: pics of a 1/3 inch drop
c-mack,I might suggest lowering the rear maybe 3-4 inches with a new coil first and then see how it sits in realation to the rear and if it sits level or with a little rake you could add a front spindle knowing at least the spindle will drop it the amount its made for without having to guess which frt coill may get the drop needed.

Re: pics of a 1/3 inch drop
Here is a simple no guess deal.....clip 1 full ring off the bottom of the front coil(2 1/2" drop)., & go 2" block on the rear.....it should handle your dirt roads. crazyL
