How do you fix a rusty bed floor?
The inside of the bed is pretty solid exept for the floor where it meets the front. It has actually has holes in it. Seems to be the only pice of sheet metal on our trucks you can't order from LMC. Any body fix a similar problem?

Most would find another bed and cut out a patch panel. Several people part these trucks on the board and will sale you what you need!

I'm not sure if this is what you are talking about... but you can get patch panels for steel bed floors. I just looked up Brothers real quick, but you can get them from lots of the vendors. Patch

Re: How do you fix a rusty bed floor?
The aftermarket patch panels I've seen don't quite match up. The rib spacing is different & they're definately thinner than the original.

Re: How do you fix a rusty bed floor?
I heard that the aftermarket patches don't line up. I was kind of under the impression most old truck beds would have the same issues. I'll keep my eyes open though. Any body use a peice of angle iron or a similar cheap fix. I'm going to do a roll in liner so I guess that will hide it some.

Re: How do you fix a rusty bed floor?
DavidB Im having a hard time too but theres been some people that offered them like one was free and one needed green. They are both kinda out of my reach. I saw an 8ft bed floor on yearone and it fits 73 to the 90's. I asked on the board awhile back and was told that it would not fit. So im going to have to see if I can get the free bed floor, since the person is in my state.

Re: How do you fix a rusty bed floor?
Within the last year a complete reproduction short fleet bed floor has become available. Just after I spent about 10 months getting my original bed floor looking nice!

Re: How do you fix a rusty bed floor?
Sounds like yours was messed up where mine was.
Check out my build thread starting on page 3. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=221437&page=3 It may give you some ideas if you got some time and metal rather than buying patches.

Re: How do you fix a rusty bed floor?
I wish they made an 8ft bedfloor. If I had a 6ft bed I would've bought the bed floor from brothers.
