Vintage Air - Bi-level heater w/ defrost
Has anyone installed Vintage Air's Bi-level heater w/ defrost part no. 50616-VUZ. This is a non-ac system that is 10" wide x 10.25" tall and 6" deep. I'm in the process of shaving my firewall, so I'm thinking of using this unit. Any feedback good or bad would be appreciated.
Thanks! |

Re: Vintage Air - Bi-level heater w/ defrost
I've never put in that particular kit but I have put in their Sure Fit and other universal Gen II systems.
Once the stock heater and blower are out of the way, there is a fare amount of space to work with. If you need room behind your glove box Vintage Air's Sure Fit has a glove box mod to add room back there. I'm sure they will sell you that item separately. Is your truck heat only right now?

Re: Vintage Air - Bi-level heater w/ defrost
I see the 50616-VUZ is a single knob unit.
You wont be using your control panel at all. That's cool though, you'll have another cubby hole to stash stuff in. The only hassle I see is getting the defrost ducts put in place. Universal is always universally fun.
