Lets show only Fixer uppers
Following suit with all the other posts, lets see your beaters and fixer uppers. Ones that are missing parts, have 6 different colors of paint on them, no powertrains, rusting bodies etc.....
Here is my multi colored 72 before the front end and box cam off a couple weeks ago.

Ok I guess I can show you what I'm working with. Remember this doubles as my work truck too.

Heres HEAVY CHEVYs toy. I used it as a daily driver when he was over the road driving. Then it sat for about 3 years , because some kids decided to do some serious damage to it one night. He has just recently got it running again, and back on the road. Which I thing is due largely to the board , thank you We have alot to do, to get it back to where it was. Funny thing is he can't even take it on a test run without our 2 yr old jumping in.
I had a full body view and just messed it up when i was resizing it....... |

Well you've seen it before. Just remember this is pretty good shape for a Canadian truck that has sat in a field for 10 years.
Still trying to decide where to start and what to fix vs replace. Trevor

I might be doing the same with my 72, the flatbed idea. I'm just trying to decide what to do with my fleetside bed. I will either sell it or go to the yard and get the rear part of a frame and cut it into a trailer.
Great pics, keep em coming!!!

Here's one I'm building - I plan to put it on Ebay when it's done.
It's a 1970 CST 20 Longbed automatic with factory air. The front clip is off and the bed comes off this weekend. I doing a frame-off resto and plan to replace just about everything. The original color is GM #514 Medium red with #521 pure white top & lower panels.

Dubie - glad to hear that someone else like flat beds! I have had all kinds of people try to get me to buy a box but I like the look of a flat bed. I am going to rip off the old one and build one out of oak. I think a fully finished oak flat bed would look kick a$$ on these trucks.

My plans are for a steel framed flatbed that sits above the wheels and has fir layed down in between the rails. Also looking at adding a headache rack and a nice custom bumper. I think Flatbeds on 67-72's look amazing. Only hope mine will turn to be half as nice as some of the other guys running flatty's on here. I have some good pics if ya wanna see some . Let me know and I can post em for ya

Here's my '71 C-20 that I paid $50 dollars for. It was me or the scrap yard as the past owner had no where to put it. I saved it from that dreded one way trip. That would have been a real waste as this truck is pretty darn solid and it's no plain jane either. Work on this one is going a bit slow because of my other projects but this truck will look good again one day. Plans are to paint it it's original hugger orange again after a bit of cutting, welding, grinding and cursing! LOL
Best damn trucks on the planet!

Links to more piccys are in the sig. Mine is pretty much a daily driver at the moment. I am the second owner with My Grandfather being the original owner. I pretty much grew up with this truck and will be restoring it in the near future.
