Check out our new family sedan... 12 sec car WOW!

Hello all, check out our new addition... a Cadillac CTS-V, Z06 Corvette engine, 6 speed, does the quarter mile in 13.2, and will do 12.7 seconds with little mods. It has enough room for my wife and two boys. WOW what a car, even though my 3 year old still has taste. He says he likes the Blazer more This is the only forum I post to so I just wanted to share. This was one of the cars on the "dream list" The car is also very safe for the family. Thanks

Very nice. Is that factory or a modification?

I just picked up an '08 Infiniti G35 Sedan. Not quite as powerful as your Caddy, but at 306hp, it isn't a slouch.

Re: Check out our new family sedan... 12 sec car WOW!

LOL, no times yet. Yes its all factory, 400hp. Nice ride, its a one owner car with 18k miles on it. I was looking at a classic '69 Camaro a few weeks ago but for the same price you can't go wrong with one of these. Its a 4 door Corvette, safe, and fast + a 6 speed

Very cool.

That was the idea behind getting our '06 TrailBlazer SS....4dr, 395hp/400tq, safe and fast, etc. and can tow 6800lbs...but no 6 speed!

Re: Check out our new family sedan... 12 sec car WOW!

mpg, what mpg? I have not tested it, mostly depends on your heavy foot. I don't race it, baby it and maybe sometimes let it go. I estimate (hope) 18 in the city and 22-24 hwy. I do love the CTS-V IRS, handles great. Its pretty cool with the horsepower wars going on. The new ZR1 to have 650hp, new CTS-V 550 hp, Shelby GT500 500+ hp, I grew up when cars had 300+, 400+hp but these cars are now worth 40, 50, 60, 70+ or more grand. I can have the same speed and todays technology and safety. Sure the classic muscle cars will be worth more over time, but the new cars can sure move and handle. Although, I will never sell my 1972 Blazer, all original and just nice to work on

You know ---even a higher performance vehicle has fuel economy. The surprising thing, is that the CTS-V and the Vettes get better gas mileage than most six-banger wimpy family cars. What year is this one?

Re: Check out our new family sedan... 12 sec car WOW!

That is a beauty! I'm jealous (and for crying out loud dont let my wife see that).

I have the Impala SS with 303 hp / 325 ft-lb tq. It does pretty well on the highway (on long stretches with babying the right pedal, I get 27-29). Forget in town (around 12-14).

Congrats!

Re: Check out our new family sedan... 12 sec car WOW!

Thanks again guys, its a 2005 CTS-V with 18k miles, originally owned by a lady. I think she drove it conservatively since the shifter feels like new. I have been in some that you could tell someone was racing the heck out of it, the shifter feels like crud, wobbly from all the slamming in gears. This one is truly like new! Your right pieces, for as much hp it has, it does better than other 6cyl cars on mpg. I am def. keeping this for a while!
