sold my 69 to the weirdest guy..
The first guy who responded to my Craigslist ad called me and said I'll buy your truck.I started to tell him a little about the truck and he said, I don't care I want it. I arranged to meet him at a gas station near the interstate. He showed up and said, how much?
I gave him my price and he said cash? I said don't you want to drive it? He said No, I heard you drive up and gave me the cash. I signed the title, took off my plate and he left. I called my wife for a ride and went home. Weirdest guy I ever met. Here's a picture of me after the sale, So if I call somebody weird......

Re: sold my 69 to the weirdest guy..
I had that happen to me a long time ago to a car I was selling. Odd, but it happens.

The sale of my last HD went down almost the same exact way. Little freaked out for a bit after, they are usually a hassle...

I was the same way about my 69 Fleet. I said the same thing...its a Chevy. I knew in my heart it would run. For $200.00...I wasnt going to complain.

Re: sold my 69 to the weirdest guy..
Some people must be really trusting, or have a keen sense for honesty. I sold an old IH scout a long time ago to a guy just retiring from the military. He walked around it, asked how much, then said he would be back in 2 weeks to buy it when his check came in. I thought- yeah right- I'll never see him again. He came back like he said he would, handed me cash & drove off.

Re: sold my 69 to the weirdest guy..
I had the same thing when I sold my HD last year, then 3 weeks later the cops in the town he lived in called and said they found it on the street stripped, the guy never changed the title and just stripped it and left a rolling chassis on the street.
