Dino,... check this out from www.73-87.com. http://www.73-87.com/7387garage/interior/winmotor.htm Use plenty of grease on all the moving parts. This link helped me alot.

Re: any tips on changing p/w motors
I cut a hole in the bottom of each of my doors... about 5x7 inches...
also allows me to put 6x9's there when I get them

Re: any tips on changing p/w motors
The most important thing is that when you are ready to take that motor off of the regulator assembly----MAKE SURE that you have a hole drilled through the assembly mounting bracket and the window regulator gear. You will want a 1/4" bolt through that gear and mounting bracket to hold the spring tension. Your fingers and mind will thank you.

Re: any tips on changing p/w motors
Before changing the motors out you might try and just grease the hell out of everything first.
On my '86 it was a ***** to roll up the manual windows. Pulled the panel and greased the channels real good and now they are butter. Since you aren't the muscle with power windows you don't feel just how hard the motors are working. Might be able to prolong the life of the motors for a while anyways.
