Jeep coil spring drop shocks?
I just got some Wrangler coil springs to drop the rear down. Currently the truck has some spring assisted shocks on it that are totally wasted. I'm curious what shocks people used when they put in the Jeep springs. Will the stock length ones work? That would be nice, I can get some cheapies from Schucks. If the stock lengths are too tall, anyone have part numbers or applications for other shocks?

Re: Jeep coil spring drop shocks?
Here is a part number I used on a bagged rear suspension, that would work perfect for a lowered suspension.
You could cross reference to a different shock if you like: - - - - Although, I used a dropped spring in my truck...and I believe it is a stock shock in the rear.....not sure as my truck was dropped when I got it (heated springs)...so I just replaced the springs. There is still plenty of travel left in the rear. The front needs to be changed for a big drop. On the above chassis pic, I used the original rear shocks up front...worked out great.

Re: Jeep coil spring drop shocks?
I looked up the specs on Monroe shocks that Schucks says fits.. They had some of the shocks listed, but not all of them on their web site. I called the customer service and they helped me find what I was looking for. They list many shocks for the rear. The 59001 Monroe's are 12 inches compressed, they are the ones I'll try. They also list others that have a compressed length of 13.25 inches. Sounds like a stock application shock on the short side should work with the springs I have.
